Gravel is not the same as natural pebbles, as they do not form in the same way.
Gravel is a small stone that is formed by the weathering of rocks exposed to the surface and is often deposited in river beds, foothills, and Piedmont areas.

These pebbles are taken from sand and stone mountains that were created by ancient river beds being uplifted due to crustal movement, experiencing the impact of mountain floods and continuous extrusion and friction during the process of water transportation. Over hundreds of millions of years, pebbles have undergone the vicissitudes of life evolution including wave and water movements, causing them to lose their irregular edges and angles through gravel collision and friction. Along with sediment, these small stones have been buried deep under ground and have remained silent for a long time."

Their shapes are also different. The surface of gravel is rough with edges and angles, whereas pebbles have a smooth surface without sharp edges or angles.

The hardness of natural pebbles is not as good as that of gravel, due to years of water surfing, which makes them a stone with low strength in construction. On the other hand, gravel has good hardness and strength, with uniform sizes and very sharp edges and angles which can closely adhere to cement.

Despite their differences, both natural pebbles and gravel are suitable for similar applications, such as landscaping decoration, road paving, garden decoration, indoor & outdoor decoration, and even filtering water in pools."
